KABUL and the United States of America began Saturday in the capital Kabul, officials said.
The talks took place in the National Directorate of Security (NDS) office, according to a brief statement from the president’s office delivered to Pajhwok Afghan News.
According to the source, the session is being chaired by Frank J Ruggiero, senior deputy to the US special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan. High level authorities will also participate in the talks, which will last for about two days.
Afghanistan has already notified the US about what it wants from these meetings, the statement said.
