Insurgents detained in Kandahar

KABUL-led forces in southern Kandahar province on Thursday, the alliance said.

The Taliban leader, captured in Panjwai district, was blamed for leading improvised explosive device attacks against Afghan and coalition forces besides facilitating the transfer and delivery of weapons in the province.

During a separate operation in Daman district, a combined force arrested a Taliban leader, who planned and conducted attacks against Afghan and coalition forces, a statement from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
