KABUL): A young girl and his 5-year-old brother died on Saturday after the roof of their house caved in due to heavy rains in central Parwan province, a relative said.
Another three from the same family were injured in the incident that took place in Charikar, the provincial capital.
The house of Fazal Ahmad collapsed after two days of raining, Ahmad’s brother, Khan Aqa, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the dead included an 18-year-old daughter and a 5-year old son of Ahmad, who’s wife, another two sons — three and six-year old — were injured in the incident. The injured were taken to the provincial civil hospital.
In northern Takhar province, two guards at the Takhar university were shot dead by an armed individual on Friday afternoon, police spokesman Maj. Abdul Khalil Asir said.
The incident occurred when police guards at the university entrance attempted to search the man before allowing him to enter the campus. The attacker was shot injured and detained after he shot dead a police officer and a cop.
