TIRINKOT (PAN): Two policemen were killed and another wounded in a roadside bombing in the central province of Uruzgan on Monday, a local official said.
The explosion took place in the morning when a police vehicle was plying the road in the 2nd police district of Tirinkot, the capital of Uruzgan province, the district police commander, 2nd Lt. Gul Agha, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Meanwhile, provincial police spokesman, Farid Aail, said two policemen were killed,another one wounded and their vehicle destroyed in the explosion.
The bomb, placed beneath a culvert, went up with a remote-control device when the police vehicle was passing the area, said witness Hayatullah.
No one has so car claimed responsibility for the bombing.
