Avalanches kill 2 in Parwan

CHARIKAR): A child and a man died as snow avalanches hit five houses in the Siagard district of central Parwan province, an official said on Thursday.

Another two people were injured in the incident that took place on Wednesday in the Sher Khankhel village of Takhan Dara, the governor’s spokeswoman, Roshan Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Snow avalanches also damaged a health clinic in Bagram district, 16 houses in Shinwari town and 10 houses near the provincial capital, he said, adding that many walls had also tumbled.
