KABUL): Afghan and Coalition forces have killed three militants in joint operations in different parts of the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said on Sunday.
The operations were conducted in Bamyan, Badakhshan, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktika and Helmand provinces, a statement from the ministry said.
As a result, three armed Taliban were killed and 20 others arrested by Afghan forces, according to the ministry, which said police seized ammunitions and IEDs. Five landmines were discovered and defused in Nangarhar, Kapisa and Faryab provinces.
