FARAH CITY (PAN): Iranian border guards on Monday freed 27 Afghans and promised to transfer five dead bodies and six injured people tomorrow.
The 27 individuals were released during Farah Governor Mohammad Akram Khpalwak’s meeting with Iranian officials in the neighbouring country.
Khpalwak’s spokesman Abdul Rahman Zhwandai told Pajhwok Afghan News the Iranians would five dead bodies and six injured Afghans on Tuesday.
Nearly 300 Afghans illegally entered Iran on Friday around when Iranian guards opened fire at them in the Pushtamki area of Lash Jawin district.
Ten Afghans were killed, 11 wounded and 89 went missing as a result of the shooting. Another 200 returned to the country, Deputy Governor Mohammad Younus Rassouli said.
