KABUL): Nine Afghan refugees were among 14 people died in a traffic accident in the Sestan province of neighboring Iran, officials said on Sunday.
According to Iran’s Forensic Medicine Organization, a vehicle also carrying nine Afghan refugees crashed into another car early on Sunday morning in the Sarawan-Khash square of Sestan that borders Afghanistan.
After the crash, a fire erupted that burnt their bodies that have been brought to the forensic department which confirmed the dead included four Iranian citizens.
Iranian officials said another two Afghan refugees wounded in the incident have been evacuated to a hospital.
