KABUL): Three insurgents were killed in a blast caused by their own explosive in the Anardara district of western Farah province, an official said on Tuesday.
Seven insurgents were planting a roadside bomb in the Gorkak area when it went off prematurely, killing three of them, said Gul Ahmad Zarifi, the district chief. He told Pajhwok Afghan News the remaining insurgents fled the area after the blast.
“Last night I heard an explosion and in the morning, I saw body parts laying on the road,” a resident of the area, Abdul Baseer, said.
