LASHKARGAH (PAN): Five civilians were injured when a bomb-rigged motorcycle was detonated in the capital of southern Helmand province on Tuesday morning, an official said.
The blast in Bolan area was aimed at a passing police vehicle, the governor’s spokesman, Omar Zwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said police stayed unharmed but five passersby, including two children, sustained injuries in the blast.
Witness Sardar Mohammad said one of the injured children was said to be in critical condition.
There has been no word from the Taliban about the early morning explosion.
