Pajhwok announces launch of Media Release Service

Pajhwok Afghan News has announced the launch of its new Media Release Service, which will allow businesses, civil society efficiently.

The new feature is a commercial service of Pajhwok and will charge users for sending each release.

In its first months of operation, Pajhwok’s Media Release Service will give free distribution to civil society organisations wishing to get their message out to the media.

“Many people have told us how difficult it is to know how to get their message across to the media. This new service will help them reach the editors and journalists who would like to know what they have to say. We think it will be helpful for both the news media and for people who want to get their message to those media,” said Pajhwok CEO Danish Karokhel.

Like any media release distribution service, Pajhwok’s Media Release Service does not guarantee publication. Its purpose is to distribute releases to the media. Media outlets will decide based on their editorial policies whether or not to publish.

Pajhwok’s newsletters and websites reach hundreds of thousands of journalists and individual readers each month. In the past three months Pajhwok’s website had 700,000 visits and over 1.6 million page views, and its subscription newsletter reached thousands of people each week.
