KABUL Cricket Board (ACB) has announced a 20-member list of probables for the ACC Premier League Cricket Tournament to be held in Malaysia between April 30 and May 7, an official said on Monday.
Featuring six nations, the tournament gives Associate and Affiliate members of the Asian Cricket Council experience of international one-day cricket and also helps form an essential part of regional rankings.
The top four teams will qualify for the ACC Championship 2014, with the remaining two teams will remain in 2016 ACC Premier League.
ACB spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News Afghanistan would join Oman, Hong Kong, Nepal, the UAE and hosts Malaysia the 50-over format event.
ACB chief executive Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad said the side was well-prepared to compete and return victorious from Malaysia.
A final 14-member squad will be announced after the conclusion of an ongoing training session.
Probables: Mohammad Nabi Issakhel, Nawroz Mangal, Shafiqullah Shafique, Asghar Stanikzai, Najib Tarakai, Samiullah Shinwari, Afsar Zazai, Nasir Jamal Ahmadi, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Javed Ahmadi, Shahpur Zadran, Dawlat Zadran, Aftab Alam, Fazl Niazi, Amir Hamza Hotak, Sharfuddin Ashraf, Yamin Ahmadzai, Mirwais Ashraf, Rahmat Shah Zurmati and Noor Ali Zadran.
