GHAZNI (Pajhwok): Six militants were killed and five others wounded in a fierce clash with security forces in southern Ghazni province on Friday morning, an official said.
Shafiq Nang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News a group of insurgents mounted attack on a police check post in Ibrahimkehlu locality on the outskirts of Andhr district at around 6:00am.
Heavy police reinforcement came to the battle scene and besieged the militants near the check post, he said, adding six militants killed and five others injured in the three-hour long clash.
He said security forces remained unhurt during the gun battle but dead bodies of militants were still laying in the site.
However, Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
