KABUL (Pajhwok): A powerful explosion was heard Tuesday night in the heart of Kabul, where four soldiers were killed in a bomb attack in the morning, police said.
A police official, requesting not to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened in the Chaman-i-Hazoori neighbourhood of the capital at 8.05pm.
He said the bang, whose cause was not immediately known, occurred behind a security post near the Barg-i-Sabz Hotel in the area. There were no casualties.
Area residents confirmed the heavy blast, saying that ambulances rushed to the site soon afterward.
Earlier in the day, four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and a dozen others wounded in a bomb attack on their bus in the Shams area of the 7th police district.
