KABUL (Pajhwok): Following a sharp rise in terrorist attacks, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Sunday launched a campaign to ensure people’s cooperation with security forces in identifying terrorists.
The campaign called “Know the Terrorists!” was launched in Kabul, where pamphlets were distributed to people, asking them to be alert in identifying terrorists and reporting them to police.
MoI spokesman Siddique Siddiqui said the campaign would be extended to other provinces. “The aim is to encourage residents to recognize the terrorists who dress like ordinary people or security forces.”.
In order to prevent possible attacks, he added, the people could also report cars without number plates and other suspected individuals to the authorities.
