PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Six employees including director of a road construction company were killed during militants’ attack in northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, an official said.
Provincial police Chief Aminullah Amarkhail told Pajhwok Afghan News that militants attacked the vehicle of the company’s employees, leaving Bismillah, director of a road construction company and five employees’ dead in Charshanba Tapa district this morning.
Another worker was wounded and two others were taken hostage by rebels, he added. A doctor at Baghlan Civil Hospital, Dr. Khalil Narmgoi confirmed receiving six bodies and one wounded.
But a Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said his fighters killed 12 policemen in an attack on Kunduz-Pul-I-Khumri highway in Baghlan.
