MAIDAN CITY (Pajhwok): Six insurgents were killed and 10 others wounded in different security incidents in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Saturday.
One rebel was killed and another wounded during a clash with security forces in the Antan locality of Dai Mirdad district early in the morning, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Separately, Attaullah Khogyani said, five fighters were eliminated and 10 others wounded during a clearing operation in the Alisha area of Chak district.
The spokesman added a dreaded Taliban Commander Abdul Ghaffar was killed and three motorcycles were seized during the operation. Security forces escaped unhurt.
