Security and Crime6 ISAF soldiers killed in rebel assault
by Pajhwok ReportonDec 12, 2010 - 14:48KABUL (PAN): Six international soldiers were killed in an insurgent assault in southern Afghanistan, the alliance said on Sunday.
The International Security Assistance Force announced the soldiers's deaths in a brief statement that neither revealed their nationalities nor the exact location of the militant attack in the south, a Taliban stronghold.
With Sunday's fatality, the death toll of ISAF forces in Afghanistan this year has reached 693. In 2009, 521 foreign troops were killed in different parts of the country.
