26 killed in Kunduz suicide attack
KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): A suicide attacker blew himself up inside a population registration office in northern Kunduz province on Monday, killing 26 people and wounding many others, officials said.
The attack happened at 12pm inside a registration office in Imam Sahib district, district chief, Muhammad Ayub Haqyar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The bomber, who came in on foot targeted the people who had come to receive their national identity cards, he said.
Twenty-six people, most of them civilians, were killed in the attack and 37 others injured, according to Haqyar.
District health clinic officials confirmed receiving 37 wounded people so far.
