ISAF fuel tanker torched in Logar
The incident happened at 10am in Muhammad Agha district when Taliban opened fire on a tanker supplying fuel for NATO-led forces, district chief, Abdul Hamid Hamid told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The tanker caught fire and the flames then spread to some shops and houses on the roadside, and firefighters had been sent to the area, Hamid said.
Daud, who was on his way to Gardez, said the highway was closed and vehicles were stuck on both sides because of the incident.
A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the insurgents were responsible for the attack, but claimed they torched two tankers.
