Taliban kill tribal militiamen in Tagab
The militiamen were killed in two separate attacks by Taliban in Almaskhel and Mirakhel villages, said the district police chief, Col. Badshah Gul Bakhtiar.
In the first incident, the militants hanged the body of an abducted militiaman, Samad, in Almaskhel, he told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Najibullah Rahimi, a provincial council member, confirmed the killing, saying that the victim had been kidnapped on Sunday night.
Another member of the tribal force, Shah Zalmay was killed in a predawn attack Mirakhel, he said, blaming the Taliban commander, Haroon, Rahimi, for the murder.
Zabit Shirin Aqa, the 120-member tribal force commander for Tagab, confirmed the killings. "Zalmay left the force a year back," he said.
