2 Afghan soldiers dead in roadside blast
QALA-I-NAW (PAN): Two Afghan soldiers were killed and another two wounded in a roadside bombing in western Badghis province on Tuesday, officials said.
The blast happened near an army base in the Dara Bom area of Qadis district at 3.20pm, said Col. Abdullah, coordination officer at the provincial police headquarters.
An army pick-up, which was taking supplies to the military post from Muqar district, was damaged by the roadside blast. Homemade bombs have become the weapon of choice for Taliban insurgents.
