Security officials among 10 dead in Khyber clashes
Five people were killed during a clash between two rival militant groups in Bara sub-district, a political administration official, Khairullah Afridi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
More than 30 people were injured in the fighting between Tehrik-i-Taliban and Lashkar-i-Islam members. Both organisations have been outlawed by the Pakistan government.
Elsewhere in the region, militants stormed a paramilitary check-post in the Landikotal town, killing five security officials and wounding two others.
Mohammad Zaman Shinwari, a local official, said the wounded troops were under medical treatment. Security forces were conducting a search in areas around the checkpoint, he added.
