KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): A two-day international conference on child healthinfo-icon, the first in Afghanistaninfo-icon in three decades, would begin in Kabul on February 26, organisers said on Friday.

The French Medical Institute for Children for Children (FMIC) in Kabul is organising the conference as part of events marking the fifth anniversary of its operations.

About 250 participants, including 16 international specialists and healthcare representatives from all of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces, will attend the gathering.

The conference would enable Afghan and international paediatricians to share new research on child health in Afghanistan and discuss the progress made in this area since 2006, FMIC hoped.
