District police HQ opens in Nad Ali
LASHKARGAH (PAN): A newly-constructed building for police headquarters in Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province was inaugurated on Friday, officials said.
Funded by the UK, the two-storey building cost $850,000 and took two years to complete, the provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Hakim Angar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Angar said that Helmand-based foreign troops had promised to construct buildings and other facilities for police.
Nad Ali police chief, Khadi Khan, said that police faced many problems due to lack of a properly building. However, he said the problems had been resolved with the construction of the new facility that had all necessary facilitates.
