Zabul trounce Helmand by 7 wickets
JALALABAD (PAN): Zabul trounced Helmand in a limited-over match of the ongoing inter-province cricket tournament in Nangarhar on Saturday, an official said.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Helmand were bundled out for 77 in the 22nd over, Afghanistan Cricket Board official, Farid Hotak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Zabul raced to an easy victory in the 12th over for the loss of only three wickets, Hotak said, adding that Abdur Rashid, who took two wickets and scored 19 runs, was declared the Man of the Match.
Twenty clubs are participating in the event being co-hosted by Behsud and Batikot districts. On the opening day of the tournament on Friday, Helmand outplayed Ghor and Parwan defeated Nuristan.
