Gojar complains Karzai ignored it
The tribe has 1.5 million members across the country, Gojar tribal council chief, Mir Azam Gojarwal, told Pajhwok Afghan News on Monday.
He said his tribesmen lived in Kunar, Laghman, Nuristan, Badakhshan, Takhar and Kunduz provinces. "None of our representatives is among the 34 Meshrano Jirga members named by Karzai."
Gojarwal added: "If we are considered Afghan citizens, our rights must be respected and protected. Otherwise, Karzai should allow us to migrate from this country."
He said the tribe had been ignored despite its solid support for the incumbent government.
