Suicide bomber detained in Paktika
SHARAN (PAN): Police detained a suicide bomber along with his instructor in the southeastern province of Paktika, officials said on Monday.
The two men were detained during a search of a hotel on Sunday night in Orgun district, the governor's spokesman, Mokhlis Afghan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The suicide bomber was originally from Naka district of the province and lives in the South Waziristan region of Pakistan.
The pair had confessed during an initial interrogation that their mission was to kill the commander of NATO-led forces in Orgun district, he said.
Two months ago, a Pakistani suicide bomber was detained in the province.
