Nangarhar blast injures border policemen
JALALABAD (PAN): Three border police officials were injured in a roadside bombing in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Saturday, officials said.
The explosion occurred at 10am when a remote-controlled bomb exploded near a border police vehicle in the Tarili area of Chaparhar district.
A border police commander, Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News three policemen were injured and their vehicle damaged.
A suspect, detained with a small battery and a remote-controlled device, was under interrogation, he said.
Initially, the suspect managed to flee, but was arrested later by border police, said the Chaparhar district chief, Mashooq.
