KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Pakistaninfo-icon has apologised for recent rocket attacks on Ghosta district of eastern Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Interior in Kabul said on Sunday.

Pakistani forces' attacks on Anargai area have caused massive financial losses to the people, displacing hundreds of families, a spokesman for the ministry said.

Goshta was attacked 16 times since Feb. 2, Zmaray Bashari told a press conference in Kabul. Each time six to 15 rockets were fired into the border town by Pakistani forces.

The issue was discussed during a trilateral meeting among Afghanistaninfo-icon, ISAFinfo-icon commanders and Pakistan, Bashari said. Pakistan apologised for the incidents, he added.

According to Bashari, Pakistan said the attacks were not intentional. "We hope such border violations will not happen in the future," the spokesman concluded.
