Two fighters dead in Logar clash

PUL-I-ALAM (PANinfo-icon): Two Talibaninfo-icon fighters were killed and a third wounded during a clash with NATOinfo-icon-led soldiers in central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.

A vehicle of foreign soldiers was destroyed during the clash took place in Ali Khan Qala area on the outskirts of the provincial capital, Pul-i-Alam, the official told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity.

Provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Ghulam Mustafa Mohseni, confirmed the firefight, but had not information about casualties.

A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the fighters killed seven foreign soldiers, wounded four others and destroyed three tanks. He also confirmed the loss of three militants.
