2 NATO-led soldiers killed in fresh attacks
One soldier died on Saturday as a result of an improvised explosive device attack, while another was killed on Sunday during a militant attack in the east, the multinational force said in a statement.
The ISAF statement neither revealed identities of the soldiers nor exact locations of the attacks, but mostly American, British and Canadian troops are deployed to the south and east.
More than 700 foreign soldiers were killed in Afghanistan last year, the deadliest for the NATO-led troops, as well as civilians. Over 500 international troops were killed in 2009.
Eighty international soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan since the beginning of the current year. Fifty-two of the victims were from the US, 10 from the UK and 17 others from other countries.
