4 civilians dead in Kandahar bombing
KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): Four civilians were killed when their car struck a roadside bomb in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Sunday.
The explosion happened in Hajji Mohammad Neka Ziarat area of Shorabak district late on Saturday, governor’s spokesman, Zalmay Ayubi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The blast killed four civilians and completely destroyed the vehicle, Ayubi said, adding police arrived at scene and recovered 40 kilograms of explosives placed in two jerry canes. The explosives were defused with the assistance of international forces.
