Blast leaves 2 policemen injured
TIRINKOT (PAN): Two policemen were injured when a roadside bomb ripped through their vehicle in central Uruzgan province on Sunday, an official said.
The blast took place in the Nachin area, east of the provincial capital, police chief, Brig. Gen. Juma Gul Himmat, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
As usual, the Taliban asserted responsibility for the blast, with rebel spokesman, Qari Yusuf Ahmad, saying three policemen were killed.
