Blast kills a Pakistani worker in Nangarhar
JALABADCITY (PAN): A Pakistani national was killed and three others were injured in a blast in the eastern province of Nangarhar, officials said on Monday.
The workers found a warhead and were hitting it with a stone on Sunday evening when it detonated in the Sya Sang area of Sorkh Rod district, the district chief, Syed Ali Akbar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A Pakistani, working on building a mosque, was killed and his three colleagues were wounded in the explosion, he said.
A dead body and three injured people were taken to Jalalabad civil hospital, director of the public health department, Dr. Saif-ur-Rahman Ibrhimkhel, said. The injured were in a stable condition, he said.
Separately, explosives placed in a vehicle, were discovered in Jalalabad city, where Afghan and international forces were trying to defuse them, he said.
