Stable Afghanistan linked to peace in region: Karzai
"Pakistan and Afghanistan, both victims of terrorism, need to wage a joint counterterrorism struggle," the president told a delegation of Pakistani lawmakers.
During a meeting with a Pakistani Senate delegation at the Presidential Palace on Sunday night, Karzai stressed the need for expanding cooperation between the neighbours.
Led by Saleem Safiullah Khan, the delegation included Afrasiab Khattak, Jahangir Badr, Abbas Khan, Adeel and Wasim Sajjad, a statement from Karzai's office said.
Relations and interaction between parliaments of the two countries were in their interests, added the president. The visiting legislators briefed Karzai on meetings with their Afghan counterparts.
