JALALABAD (PANinfo-icon): A bomb exploded inside a music shop in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Tuesday, causing no casualties, officials said.

The blast near the Mastufiat square in Qasaba area of Jalalabad, the provincial capital, took place at 5am, owner of the shop, Shah Hosain, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Hundreds of cassettes and compact discs worth 100,000 afghanis ($2,198) were destroyed, he said.

"I am a poor man and have no enmity with anyone. It was a cruelty to me," he said.

He asked for assistance from the government and the arrest of criminals.

Marwand, who owns a food store, said he was asleep in his shop next door, when the explosion occurred. In addition to food, his refrigerator and freezer were damaged by the blast, he added.

Security personnel have launched an investigation, the governor's spokesman, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, said.

On Jan. 24, a music shop was blown up near the grain market of the city, causing losses of 400,000 afghanis.
