4 militants killed by their own bomb in Logar
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Four insurgents, planting a roadside bomb, were killed and another two were wounded when the device went off prematurely in central Logar province on Saturday, officials said.
The blast took place in Chalozi area of Baraki Barak district, the district chief, Mohammad Rahim told Pajhwok Afghan News. The dead, all residents of the district, included a Taliban commander identified as Mohammad Khan, the official said.
Deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Jan Abid, confirmed the incident and the casualties.
He also said a Taliban fighter was arrested with weapons and explosives in Shahzada area of Baraki Barak by a joint Afghan-international force on Friday night.
