MAHMUD RAQI (PANinfo-icon): Two people were killed and three others are still missing when a car fell into a river in the central province of Kapisa, officials said on Tuesday.

The family of six lived in Mullahinfo-icon Dadkhel village on the outskirts of Mahmud Raqi, the provincial capital, he said.

"I saw a huge splash in the river from a distance. When I came close, I saw the car had fallen into the water," a resident of the area, Khan Aqa, said.

He and his friend went into the river and pulled out a man and two dead bodies, he said.

The car driver was rescued and taken to hospital, he said.
