The clash happened at about 7:30am in Padkhab Shani area of Pul-i-Alam city when a group of Taliban attacked a logistics convoy of NATO-led forces, the Logar governor’s spokesman, Din Mohammad Darwaish, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The clash lasted for half an hour, Darwaish said, adding the wounded were taken to a military health facility and are in stable condition.
Logar deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Jan, said the three civilians, wounded by Taliban firing, were local workmen.
He said the militants fled the area and a search operation had been launched.
However, the head of Logar civil hospital, Dr. Ahmadullah Nalan, said they received four wounded civilians and the victims were in critical condition.
A Taliban spokesman, Zabhiullah Mujahid, claimed they ambushed Afghan forces and killed three soldiers and wounded three others.
