Taliban group joins peace process in Baghlan
The group led by Mirza surrendered to the authorities in Jalga district late on Friday, police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News. They turned in two rockets, one machinegun and a number of AK-47s, he said
The group had been active in the district since over the past two years and its surrender would help stablise the area, Rahimi said.
Majeed, a member of the group, said: “I don't want to be against the government anymore.”
