2 civilians injured in Khost blast
KHOST CITY (PAN): Two civilians were injured in a bomb blast in the southeastern province of Khost, officials said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at 3pm when a bomb attached magnetically to a car detonated in Faiz Mohamad Khan Avenue of Khost city, deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Yaqub, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The driver of the car and another civilian were injured and taken to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, he added.
Safitullah, the injured driver, said he had stopped his car in front of a market. When he started it again, he had not gone more than 6 metres when the bomb exploded.
"I don’t have enmity with anyone nor do I work for the government. I only do my own business," he said. His car was damaged in the explosion, he said.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
