Afghan MPs share experiences with Pakistani counterparts
The 39-member Afghan delegation, led by parliamentarian Syed Ishaq Gilani, sat together with Pakistani lawmakers, headed by deputy national assembly speaker, Jan Mohammad Jamali, to share their experiences.

At the end of the meeting, aimed at sharing experiences and jointly finding solutions to problems, the participants will issue a declaration.
Former interior minister, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, said both sides discussed the role of Parliament in strengthening democracy. He said it was discussed how Afghan lawmakers could learn from the experience of their Pakistani counterparts.
A spokesman for the Afghan embassy in Islamabad, Rahim Qatra, said the conference was expected to issue a joint declaration on Wednesday. He said the Afghan delegation will meet high ranking Pakistani officials on Wednesday.
