4 ISAF soldiers killed in the east
All four International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) servicemembers were killed on Tuesday following separate insurgent attacks in eastern Afghanistan, the alliance said in two separate statements.
In line with its policy, ISAF neither disclosed the nationalities of the fallen soldiers nor the exact location of the incidents. But it is mostly US troops who are fighting against Taliban insurgents in the eastern parts of the country.
Since the beginning of 2011, 104 foreign troops, including 71 US and 14 British, have been killed in Afghanistan.
