Civilian among 3 dead in ISAF airstrike

ZARANJ (PANinfo-icon): Two militants and a civilian were killed in an airstrike by NATOinfo-icon-led forces in Khashrud district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Wednesday.
The operation involving helicopters of foreign troops was carried out in the Qala area on Tuesday night, the district chief, Mohammad Hashim Noorzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He confirmed two militants and a civilian were killed in the assault that lasted half an hour.
Two suspected militants were also detained, he said.
There has been no comment from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force about the airstrike.
Meanwhile, police detained two persons on the charge of abducting a child in Zaranj city. Unidentified men kidnapped a three-year-old child three days ago from near his house, but he was rescued by police in operation in the second police district of the city, deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Musa Rasuli, said.
The detainees, residents of Farah province, were detained on Wednesday morning
One of the suspects, Mahiuddin, who works in a brick kiln in Iran, said an Afghan had offered him a lot of money for kidnapping the child to Iran.
