Airstrikes kill 7 militants in Helmand
The first air raid that took place in the Nad Ali district on Wednesday left two militants dead and a third wounded, the governor's office said in a statement. It said no civilians were hurt in the offensive.
Also on Wednesday, a coalition airstrike hit a vehicle carrying militants in the same area, killing five inside, the statement said.
It also said Afghan and foreign troops raided the house of a man, Lalai, north of Lashkargah, on Wednesday. The joint force seized 300 kilograms of heroin from the house and arrested a man in connection with the drugs.
