Girls attend computer, English language course
GHAZNI CITY (PAN): A computer and English language course, a US embassy funded project, was on Thursday launched for girls in southern Ghazni province, an official said.
About 150 girls have been registered to participate in the course, said provincial women's affairs director, Shukria Wali.
She said the attendees had been divided into two shifts so all girls could attend and that the course was being taught free.
A representative of the US embassy at the provincial reconstruction team (PRT) said such courses were completed last year and had been beneficial. The US wanted to continue the process for girls in the province.
A participant, Shakiba, said girls had a keen interest in learning English and computer skills.
