2 Taliban killed in Badghis clash

QALA-I-NAW (PANinfo-icon): Two Talibaninfo-icon were killed and as many others injured during a clash with Afghan and foreign troops in Bala Murghab district of northwestern Badghis province on Tuesday, officials said.

The clash erupted near Joi Ganj area after Taliban attacked a joint convoy of Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) personnel, Badghis police chief, Col. Mohammad Jabar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The governor’s spokesman, Sharafuddin said civilians and the security forces stayed unhurt in the clash.

ISAF's media office in Kabulinfo-icon said it was unaware about the incident.

However, a Taliban spokesman, Qari Yosouf Ahmadi, claimed four foreign soldiers, an Afghan interpreter and a military dog were killed as a result of the attack.
