KABUL on Saturday inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Sri Lankans during their second group match in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup football tournament in Katmandu, the capital of Nepal, an official said.
Afghanistanhave tasted a 1-0 defeat in their first encounter against hosts Nepal on Thursday.
Launched on Thursday, the tournament features 16 teams from Asian countries.
Mustafa Hadeed scored the match-winner for Afghanistan in 82nd minute after the first half ended with any goal from both sides, Afghan team coach, Humayun Kargar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Top two teams from the group will join Palestine, Philippines, India, Turkmenistan, Maldives and Tajikistan in the eight-team finals.
