Policeman dies in Laghman accident

MEHTARLAM (PAN): One policeman was killed another two sustained injuries in a car accident in eastern Laghman province, officials said on Sunday.

The policemen were checking the car’s brakes when they met with a serious accident in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, on Saturday, police chief, Brig. Gen. Ghulam Aziz Gharani, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

One policeman died and two others were injured, he said.

A doctor at the provincial civil hospital, Dr. Abdul Latif Qayumi, said the injured were taken to Kabul due to serious injuries.

The victims are residents of western Ghor province, according to the police chief.
